Hello “Fire” Rooster!
Goodbye “Fire” Monkey!
The Year of the “Fire” Rooster:
January 28, 2017 – February 15, 2018
You are a Rooster if you were born in 1909, 1921, 1933, 1945, 1957, 1969, 1981, 1993, 2005, or 2017.
Roosters are adventurous, courageous, funny, hardworking, confident. They are known for their passion, loyalty, and sincerity. They can also be cynical, self-absorbed, and boastful.
According to the Chinese calendar: Each of the 12 animal signs is associated with 5 different elements: Metal, Water, Wood, Fire, and Earth. (12 animals x 5 elements = 60.) Roosters come around every 12 years, but the “Fire” Rooster won’t return for another 60 years. The last Year of the “Fire” Rooster was in 1957 and will not return again until 2077.
“Fire” Roosters are people of action, great leaders and role models; highly motivated, focused, out-spoken, strongly principled, and persuasive, but tend toward uncompromising.
If you were born in 1957, you are a “Fire” Rooster, and this is your year to strut!
Perhaps the oldest calendar system in the world, the Chinese lunar calendar traces its origins back as far as 2637 B.C.E. We also owe the benefits of Chinese medicine and acupuncture to this great culture.
